How to Take a CBD Tincture

What is a Tincture?

A tincture is a concentrated oil mixture to be administered orally, typically held under the tongue.  Our CBD Isolates and Broad-Spectrum tinctures are best administered under the tongue and holding for at least 60 seconds or longer. Can’t do 60 seconds? Hold it under your tongue for as long as you can.

Why under the tongue? There are large blood vessels under the tongue that absorb the CBD oil very quickly and distribute it throughout the body. The longer a person can hold the tincture under the tongue, the more the blood vessels can absorb.

So, what do we do after the time is up? Simply swallow the CBD. What ever did not absorb into the bloodstream will be absorbed through the digestive system.

How much CBD  is someone supposed to take?

That will depend on the person. Everyone is different and it is important to find the right about for you. Some people start with a half of a dropper, but that also depends on the milligram strength. Experiment with the amount of CBD you are administering, and find the therapeutic amount that works for you.
