Jojoba oil:  Widely used in skin care products because of its ability to moisturize the skin, reduce acne, and combat signs of aging. After topical application, jojoba oil has the ability to “trick” the skin into thinking it’s producing enough oil, which helps balance oil production. This is because jojoba oil mimics the skin’s natural sebum more closely than any other oil. Balancing oil production can help to reduce the signs of aging since the body naturally produces less sebum over time. Additionally, balancing oil production is helpful for those on the other end of the spectrum that produces too much oil, which can cause breakouts. Lastly, jojoba oil is an emollient, which means it moisturizes the skin and prevents dry, scaly and rough patches.

Almond Oil: Loaded with healthy fats that help to maintain skin hydration. Rich in vitamin E, which provides potent antioxidant activity.

Shea Butter: provides the skin with essential fatty acids and nutrients necessary for collagen production, anti-inflammatory

Olive Oil: easily absorbed by the skin, replenishes the skin’s lipid barrier while providing soothing effects. It also moisturizes skin.

Carrot Seed Oil: Antioxidant

Sunflower Oil: high in Vitamins A, C, D & E. provides a protective layer on the skin which helps prevent bacterial skin contact. The high vitamin E content will help protect skin cells from damage due to UV rays. Anti-aging helps reduce dark spots & scars, helps alleviate dark circles.

Coconut Oil: rich in antioxidants that reduce inflammation & speed wound healing, locks moisture in the skin, antibacterial

Aloe Vera: soothes & hydrates, contains Vitamins A, B, C, D, E and B12, copper, magnesium, potassium & zinc, antimicrobial, stimulates collagen production for firmer, younger-looking skin.

Roobios Leaf Extract: Because of its high flavonoid content, rooibos is a powerful anti-aging ingredient for skincare formulas. Since much of skin aging is caused by environmental stressors, rooibos’ abilities help to protect skin and maintain a more youthful look. Rooibos is also known to be helpful for sensitive skin.  Rooibos is a source of vitamin D and zinc and has been shown to be protective.

Green Tea Leaf Extract: Green tea contains a powerful antioxidant called EGCG that fights DNA damage from UV rays to prevent skin cancer. That means it’s also a potent anti-aging ingredient that combats signs of aging when applied topically. It contains a high content of polyphenols called catechins. The catechins in green tea reduce irritation, redness, and swelling. Green tea is a powerful antibacterial agent for treating acne and unclogging pores. Polyphenols in green tea damage bacterial membranes and fight against infection, meaning that it’s a useful tool for treating bacterial growth that causes acne. It helps kill systemic bacterial inflammation for smoother, toned skin. Green tea is full of Vitamin B2 and Vitamin E, both essential for skin health maintenance. B2 plays an essential role in maintaining collagen levels for youthful skin structure and firmness. Vitamin E supports new skin cell growth and also acts as intense hydration for soft and nourished skin. Caffeine and tannins in green tea help shrink blood vessels around the eyes, making it a miracle for treating puffy eyes and dark circles.

Hyaluronic Acid: Created naturally in the body but can also be found in food. Moisture retaining, antioxidant, anti-aging. Neutralizes free radicals to help counter signs of aging such as wrinkles, blemishes & age spots.

Peptides: Peptides are amino acids that make up the proteins in the skin. The way that peptides function in skincare products is by boosting your skin’s natural communication system which slows over time due in part to free-radical damage.  These strands of amino acids penetrate the skin to address common skin-care concerns, including wrinkles, from the inside out.

Melatonin: Melatonin is a hormone produced in the skin as well as in the body. It can act as an antioxidant helping prevent sun damage and protecting from the effects of pollution on the DNA in your skin cells as well as protecting the collagen in the second layer of your skin.
